Irresistible Inking Techniques
Irresistible Inking Techniques
Hello and welcome to my project submission for this fun class that taught interesting ways to use inks beyond stamping. There are so many different ways to use your ink...painting with ink pads, using your acrylic blocks to ink your paper, brayers, direct to paper, oh my, so many ways to use ink!
The technique I used was direct to paper, using the ink cube (I used Dark Chocolate Crisp Dye ink) down the cardstock to create the woodgrain look. Do you see it? I also kept this card clean and simple to highlight the woodgrain look! I die cut one of the larger clusters from the Leaf Clusters die set from Altenew and the sentiment I used was from the Build a Flower Columbine stamp set. I love the hello darling! sentiment.
I love the vellum band I created behind the leaf cluster. Super easy, just run two strips (different widths) of double adhesive tape and cover with gold embossing powder and heat set. TaDa! Isn't that technique fabulous!? Please give it a try, you have nothing to lose because it's just paper!!
